Notes:

1. Feature freeze/Internal API freeze. Between this release and Beta 1, the roadmap will be populated for released prior the GA.
2. Roadmap complete. Micro optimizations is now frozen in favour of final stabilization for the RC phase. Between Beta 1 and the first RC, the main priority is: BC, Tests, Bug fixes and other items on the roadmap (and even more tests!)
3. Commits are now even more carefully watched as our main focus is to identify remaining BC breaks and improve stabilization. Depending on the feedback we get, we can look at how many RCs we may need as the 6 listed above is currently a pseudo number so it might change.

• Make sure that we don't have unintentional BC breaks, and every change is mentioned in the appropriate place (NEWS/UPGRADING/etc.).
• Work together with the documentation team, so the docs are already up to date when the final 7.0.0 is released.
• Make sure that the credits are up-to-date (ext/standard/credits.c, ext/standard/credits_ext.h, ext/standard/credits_sapi.h).
• Work together with the Windows team, make sure the website is up to date with minimum versions supported, libraries are updated and all that.
